SOP - Setting up Connections (Weekly/Complete Activities Reports)
How to set up the following connections:
- Complete Activities (Recipient/Originator)
- Weekly Planner (Recipient/Originator)
Before We Start:
The Recipient is the individual to receive the report
The Originator is the individual where the data for the report is originating from.
For Example; if a connection is set up for Weekly Planner where Tom is the Originator and Jerry is the Recipient, Jerry will receive a copy of Tom's Weekly Planner.
- Make sure the Originator (ex: Sales Rep) has a User Record in the CRM
- Make sure the Recipient has a User record OR a Contact
Steps:
1. Navigate to the Gear Icon in the top right hand side on the CRM in the Black Bar
2. Then choose "Advanced Settings"
3. Click on the dropdown arrow and select "Security"
4. Navigate to "Users"
5.Search for the Originator
6. Click on the dropdown arrow next to the Originator's Name, and select Connections
7. Click on "New Connection"
8. Now we are going to add the roles next to the appropriate names, you may have to click on the magnifying glass on the look up field to select the appropriate entity (User or Contact)
It should look like this
9. Hit "Save" at the top, this connection has now been created successfully. You can view it under "Active Connection Associated View"
